Penthouse

This apartment was demolished back to its concrete shell and reimagined from the ground up; designed entirely around its owners’ vision. The layout, materials, and atmosphere were conceived from first principles, creating a space that feels both intentional and deeply personal.

With sweeping views spanning the Hudson River, Midtown, and the Financial District, natural light choreographs the interior throughout the day. It glides across surfaces, subtly shifting in tone and intensity, defining the rhythm and mood of each room.

A continuous band of greenery wraps the terrace, forming a soft, living edge that transforms the home into an elevated urban oasis. Inside, warm timber, sculpted stone, and meticulously crafted joinery lend the spaces a grounded, tactile quality, balancing openness with intimacy, grandeur with warmth.

The apartment unfolds as a sequence of calm, interconnected spaces. Thoughtfully placed thresholds, built-in elements, and controlled lighting anchor each room while preserving a sense of fluidity and cohesion. Despite its expansive urban panorama, the apartment remains intimate, tactile, and serene.
